I am looking for information re how faculty teaching loads are calculated. Specifically from peer institutions (undergraduate, private, BFA and BA, studio programs).  Are teaching loads calculated on a 9 contact hours per week model, thus teaching three 3 credit hour courses a term? If so, do studio faculty (who are generally in class 15-18 hours a week for 3 classes a week vs 9 hours a week) have a reduced teaching load due to the length of studio classes? So rather than a 3-3 semester load, studio faculty teach a 2-2 or 3-2 load. I would appreciate any information you can give me. Thanks
