I would like to invite you to nominate candidates for the Skandalaris Awards for Entrepreneurship in Design and Visual Arts. These awards will be presented as featured lectures at the first joint ACSA/NCAA conference, Economies: Art + Architecture hosted by the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis November 4-7, 2009.

Please find the announcement here (pdf). I want to personally encourage you to nominate artists, designers and/or architects who you feel are deserving of this recognition.

In the meantime, we are working on an exciting program in St. Louis and look forward to hosting all of you. The theme Economies: Art + Architecture is no doubt timely and we hope we can provide a lively forum for meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas that are relevant to our roles as educators and leaders. Over the next weeks and months we will be adding information on the program, panels, workshops, exhibition and events.
