Modern and Contemporary Art History Assistant/Associate Professor Vacancy at the University of Florida

The University of Florida School of Art and Art History invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Modern and Contemporary Art History. The starting date is August 16, 2010.

Responsibilities: To teach undergraduate and graduate students and participate in program development in art history; share responsibilities for program; conduct a program of research; and contribute in the areas of professional and public service to the university, the community and the profession. Candidate is expected to offer advanced courses in his or her field of specialty, as well as introductory art history and methodology courses.

Qualifications: Candidate must have completed all of the requirements for the Ph.D. in Art History prior to the start date: a scholar with an established record of research and publications: a committed educator with teaching experience beyond graduate school.

Rank and salary: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor; Nine-month salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
