NCAA Conference News from St. Louis

by Carmon Colangelo on July 27, 2009

Dear NCAA Members,

I hope this e-mail finds you enjoying the summer. The Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis has the pleasure of hosting this year’s conference from November 4-7. Our theme: Economies: Art + Architecture, will serve as the catalyst for discussion with the hope of providing useful and inspiring ideas for creative entrepreneurship and leadership.

I am writing to encourage you to register for the conference in St. Louis and make your hotel arrangements. More information about the program can be found at: http://www.ncaaarts.org/conference

We are planning a conference that we believe will be relevant, engaging and enjoyable — promoting camaraderie and collaborations while showcasing the vibrant cultural richness of our city. It will be a unique conference as our colleagues from the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) will be joining us as well.

On a more personal note, especially to those of you have never attended an NCAA meeting, I can assure you this is a fun and collegial group of leaders who thrive on the sharing of ideas and who enjoy open dialogue. As dean of the host institution, the Sam Fox School–comprised of the Colleges of Art and Architecture as well as the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum– my colleagues and I at Washington University are excited to host the first joint ACSA/NCAA meeting.

I hope you will join us. Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail colangelo@wustl.edu if you have any questions. Conference information including registration forms and a preliminary schedule can also be found on our web site at http://samfoxschool.wustl.edu/conferences

Looking forward to seeing you.

Sincerely,

Carmon Colangelo, Dean
